BaselineRequirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience building or maintaining custom applications.
  • Configure, manage and troubleshoot Windows .NET and/or Linux Java systems.
  • Experience with configuration management, deployment automation systems and concepts (Maven, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus, Puppet, Chef, Git, TFS, ClearCase, etc…).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash and PowerShell.
  • Work with Jenkins and CI/CD tools to automate software delivery (build, test, deploy).
  • Experience in configuring SOA-based applications (SOAP, JSON, and similar).
  • Experience with basic Linux and/or Windows administration.
  • Hands-on working knowledge, with large-scale, high-availability heterogeneous infrastructure.
  • Hands-on working experience with implementing configuration, build, deployment and release management best practices.
  • B.S in Computer Science or similar.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Healthcare IT experience – a plus.
  • WebSphere products experience (IIB, DataPower) – a plus
  • Docker and kubernetes – a plus
  • Prior development experience in Java or .NET required

Job Description:

  • Configure, manage and troubleshoot Windows .NET and/or Linux Java systems.
  • Experience with configuration management, deployment automation systems and concepts (Maven, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus, Puppet, Chef, Git, TFS, ClearCase).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash and PowerShell to create and build new automated release pipelines.
  • Develop and manage manual and automated test systems and continuous integration and deployment.
  • Deploy rapidly developed software (back-end, front-end and mobile) across multiple system. Experience with basic Linux and/or Windows administration
  • Integrate third-party tools like Jenkins for the Cl/CD pipeline (Continuous integration and continuous deployment).
  • Work with the source code repositories in version control such as GIT, SVN.
  • Lead the Automation and Monitoring releases for major and minor deployments. Collaborate with engineers and devops team members on identifying and resolving any issues or risk related to release

Background/ExperienceDesired:

  • Technology collaboration experience.
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively and ability to work with geographically dispersed technical teams including remote resources across the US and off-shore.
  • Ability to assess the existing ecosystem, provide visibility, understand pain areas, constraints, prioritize and lead changes to structures, mindsets, roles, processes and the software delivery chain in support of arising business needs.
  • Ability to design for simplicity, scale, and agility.
  • Ensure protection of the production environment by access control of changes, and auditing of changes through change management.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality management process.
  • Ensure strict process adherence to Audit and Compliance requirements.
  • Develop solid working relationships with peers in other technology or business areas.
  • Good organizational, communication, interpersonal skills.
  • On-call rotation to support operational issues.
  • Motivated and driven to seek-out opportunities to automate, streamline, improve quality and reduce software delivery life-cycle time – “know how to get things done”.

Education and Certification Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalentwork experience.
