Java Full-Stack Developer-remote position- W2 only

Max rate:  $35/hr on w2



Are you a Guru? Excited by what you do? We have a project with our client in NYC, NY that requires a Full Stack Developer

Assist in the development of a digital platform for preservation and access.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Front-End Development (JavaScript, HTML, and CSS)
  • Back-end Development (e.g. Ruby, Java, Python)
  • Relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Familiarity with open-source library and archives software
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • System Administration and Shell Scripting (Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Bash Scripting, Python, Vagrant, RHEL, Ubuntu)
  • Experience using versioning software such as Git and Github to manage collaborative projects
  • Experience writing unit tests and integrating with continuous integration tools
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work and meet project deadlines
  • Able to work both in a team and individually
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with XML-based library and archives metadata standards, such as Encoded Archival Description (EAD), MARCXML, MODS, Dublin Core, and METS, as well as XSLT stylesheets associated with their transformation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with and contributing to open-source software tools
  • Experience with Fedora Commons Repository and Active Fedora
  • Strong understanding of UX and accessibility best practices
